One of our major initiatives in 2018 was the establishments of a network of Biblical Counselors. We already have a network of more than twenty counselors who have expressed their desire to offer their help to veterans and their families. These counselors are scattered throughout the country and are available to meet either in person or via Skype or other secure networks. We have both male and female counselors available.
While we continue to grow the network and increase the number of available counselors, the growth is slow and deliberate. The reason for this is that each counselor is carefully vetted by FSM. Each person we add falls into one of three categories: a Certified Biblical Counselor, an experienced Pastor, or an experienced Military Chaplain. Our Biblical Counselors are either certified by the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors or by the International Association of Biblical Counselors. Most have either a Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree in Biblical Counseling from an accredited seminary. The Pastors and Military Chaplains in our network are either certified as Biblical Counselors or, if not, hold to the same conviction that the Bible has the answers for the issues with which our Veterans and Military Families struggle. Almost everyone in our network is either a Veteran, married to a Veteran, or is on Active Duty.
If you, or someone you know, would like to join our network of Biblical Counselors, please reach out to us so we can expand our ability to help our vets and their families. If you, or someone you know, would like to receive biblical counsel, please reach out so we can quickly link you up with a counselor who will wisely and compassionately help by applying God’s Word to your situation.
