Each day I pray for God to prepare hearts and minds for FSM to help, as well as hearts and minds to assist FSM’s ministry. God has been faithful, responding to our prayers and supplications to meet our needs this year, validated by the establishment and growth of a Biblical Counseling Corps, new strategic alliances and supporters from all walks of life.
Certified Biblical Counselors are people who care enough to lead our Veterans & Military Families to the cross of Jesus Christ to understand the hope that is there in Him alone.
Biblical counseling candidates are men and women who’s calls for help are the result of recognizing that they are at the end of themselves, are broken and humbled by the consequences of sin, are ready to do things God's way by accepting Christ and the reconciliatory pathway He purchased leading to repentance, grace, mercy and love. If they're willing to respond to His effectual call, then they will find all of the hope and help they long for towards healing in a permanent manner by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Recently, I asked Marine Veteran Elma Bunch, a Military Sexual Trauma Survivor who received an FSM Service Dog on Veterans Day, "How is biblical counseling progressing, are you finding it helpful?" Elma responded, "It is going great! I love working with Treasa! I am finding it very helpful It has opened my eyes to things I need to do to walk closer to the Lord and how I self-sabotage more than I realized."

FSM is preparing to expand our outreach by attending the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors "Suicide & Self Harm" Convention in 2019. FSM is developing an educational display and materials to share our ministry dedicated to reducing the 20+ Daily Veteran & Active Duty Military Suicides to an audience of 2000+ Certified Biblical Counselors.
